E.C. Hafer Junior Program
Welcome to the 2025 E.C. Hafer Jr. Golf Program at KickingBird Golf. The E.C. Hafer Jr. Golf Program was founded in 1971 by the late E.C. Hafer, who was a longtime Edmond youth athletics advocate.
This program is designed for golfers ages 6 – 15. Golfers will participate in a 3-Day Camp that meets for two hours each day from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. The instruction will cover the basic fundamentals of golf including: grip, posture, alignment and swing. A special emphasis will be placed on golf course etiquette, safety and enjoyment of the game. On Monday and Tuesday, the junior golfer will be instructed on irons, woods, chipping, and putting. On Wednesday, the students will be taken onto the golf course to learn etiquette, course management, and safety.
There will also be a Drive, Chip, and Putt contest on Tuesday, July 29th from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. The following day, Wednesday, July 30th, we will have the E.C. Hafer Jr. Golf Tournament. Lunch will be served following the tournament and we will have trophies for the winners of the different age groups. Two of the most important awards presented are the Robin Orendorff Most Improved Award and the E.C. Hafer Sportsmanship Award.
The dates for each camp are:
June 16th – 18th
June 23rd – 25th
July 7th – 9th
July 21st – 23rd
There will also be a Drive, Chip and Putt contest on Tuesday, July 29th and the E.C. Hafer Junior Tournament on July 30th for all attendees.
Total Cost for ONE CAMP, Drive/Chip/Putt Contest and Junior Tournament: $250

**IF YOUR CHILD WILL ATTEND MULTIPLE CAMPS, ONLY ONE RELEASE FORM IS NEEDED. SELECT EACH CAMP THEY PLAN TO ATTEND ON THE RELASE FORM AND THEN MAKE SURE YOU SIGN UP FOR EACH CAMP WITH THE LINKS PROVIDED BELOW.**
**YOUR CHILD MUST BE 6 YEARS OLD BY THE DATE OF THE CAMP THEY ATTEND. IF THEY ARE NOT OF AGE, YOU WILL RECEIVE A REFUND. WE HAD QUITE A FEW 5 YEAR OLDS THAT ATTENDED LAST YEAR AND DUE TO SAFETY AND QUALITY OF THE CAMP, WE WILL NOT ALLOW ANY 5 YEAR OLDS THIS YEAR.**
